Have you done your share of charity for animals?

I am going to volunteer at an animal shelter next summer. I also want to volunteer at a local vet's. I really care about animals. Honestly I can't even feel calm when a person says some kind of stupid joke about endangered species. Maybe some of you have done charity for people. But have you done you share of charity for animals?

Although I have never volunteered for any official agency, I have adopted quite a few animals and nursed several back to health. Some I chose to keep, and some I found good homes for.
