How can you convince yourself to forget the one you love?

I fall inlove with a married man with 5 kids. We have been as lovers for 8 months now. At first, it's just a fling thing for me, but now, i am totally inlove with him. I want him to be my partner until the end of my moral life, but the problem is we can't be husband and wife. I am always telling him that I wanted him to marry me but he feels sorry for it because he can't give it to me. i know he loves me too. When we are talking about his kids, i feel guilty as if i am destroying his relationship with them. I have this guilt inside me but then I want and love him badly. I am aware of our situation that it is not healthy because of his status.
