What is armageddon?

Ther term "Armageddon" is derived from a word found in the Bible book of Revelation, known for symbolic language.

It is actually a reference to Megiddo, an acient city and the site of many historic battles in that area. Armageddon has come to represent the final battle between good and evil that many scholars believe will take place at or near the old city of Megiddo.

except that Armageddon was in the scriptures long before revelation and has since been taken out of the bible. Armageddon is an actual place about 400 miles north west of Jerusalem. look it up
