How do -you- define 'normal'?

Honestly, I believe that the only truly 'normal' ones are those everyone calls weird lol.
I don't know who originally decided what the word normal meant..but what does it mean to you? Is it something good or something bad? Something to be despised or something you must have at all costs?
Just wondering, folks.

Very interesting discussion.Never thought of it before.I've rated this discussion.
Normal is something which is massly agreed or accepted.I dont think normal is something that is either good or bad but it is something that is accepted by most.
I dont give a damn to what normal is and whats not.I do what i think is right.

Thanks, and I thin that's a pretty good point of view. A lot better than working oneself into a tizzy trying to be what's commonly thought of as 'normal' anyway.
And that's all we can ever do..what we think is right.

yeah,it is very interesting topic, and you gave a very fresh idea with a little touch of philosophy. BTW, May I ask a question. you define "normal" ones as those everyone calls weird. will you please define "abnormal" again? LOL

Lol..well, adnormal'd be normal..and normal's weird to me *laughs* at least that's what I usually say when someone brings up the subject of normal..otherwise I usually avoid trying to pin a meaning down on the word lol.

The word normal is kind of a misnomer. Since the majority of us fall to one side or the other in varying degrees. It is the average of a population. Now the population is ever changing so I would agrue that the normal is ever changing also. Glad for the differences, it makes things ever so much more interesting.

honestly, for me normal means 'something boring and bland". sounds silly but true for me.

For me normal is something acceptable to your taste. :)
For example I like eating apple because everyone is eating apple and I know what apples look like and I like the taste of apple but what happend if someone gives you a fruit that you haven't seen in your entire life and he/she said it's delicious and somehow it looks wierd to you and when you taste it you somehow don't like its sweetness, I must say that fruit is not normal. :P
