How Long Do You Wait to Award Best Response??

Just wondering how long do you wait until you give your best response vote? I didnt want to be to hasty as i was told that sometimes it can take a long time to start getting responses and i wouldnt want to vote on one after say only 2 responses? or only over a couple of days? How do you go about it please Id love your advice as i definatly want to incorporate it into my mylot adventure :)

i have discussions which i started months ago and still, i did not choose for the best response yet. mostly, these are discussions that only had 2 responses yet and which i am not satisfied for the responses that i have received for the moment. it's not against the rules to wait until you get the response that you really need or want. there's no time limit in choosing best responses. as stated in the rules, we can wait until we get a response that satisfies our thoughts and ideas.

Yes I also agree with you there, hard to pick a best response if there isnt any lol. On the other hand does that meen people should go to the old posts that dont have responses and leave one so that regardless they will get the best response, some people might play it that way, i know I certainly would give it to them if i hadnt had any responses besides that one for like a month. Interesting thought! maybe even a great tip lol! Thanks hun.

Sometimes I give it right away, if that response was really good and pleased me. Sometimes I wait a day or two.Then I do it. As our numbers grow, it will be harder and harder to keep up. The other day, it took me 3 full days to go back and rate every single one that I missed. So dear, do what is best for you, how you feel. There is no set rule. We all work on different schedules and feel different about it. Blessings, M&M

with me it depends. If someone says something that really answers the question direct or makes a startling point I will award it there and then. However, generally I will leave it about a week then select the best from all the answers i receive

I wait about a week to award best response unless it's a really really good response that I see before then. I need to do it for a couple of my discussions now. If it's been more than a week and people are still responding I will wait.

Thanks for that, good idea. I tend to find that lately if I have more then one or two pages Ill give a best response but thats usually after a week anyhow lol.
