I'm trying to do everything my mom didn't. I love her, don't get me wrong but she was always sort of detached from me when I was growing up, and I got into alot of trouble in my teenage years because of it. I work two jobs and do my best to keep up with my 3 kids. I make time to my spend with my kids. I coach my 11 year old daughters soccer team, voluonteer(I can never spell that word) at my 4 year olds preschool, and play with my 16 month old as much as I can. Not so much with my younger ones, but with my oldest I have an "open door" policy, she knows she can come to me with anything and I'll give her an honest answer and not judge. It's amazing what they are exposed to at 11. Even her friends come to me with stuff they can't talk to their parents about. I'm also fortunate enough to have a hubby that is very involved with the kids. So I guess the best thing you can do is spend time with your kids, my parents always thought if they gave me money and let me do whatever I wanted so I wasn't in their hair it was fine, I'm not raising my kids like that.

I think that i am a wonderful mother considering that i am a young single mother. My best quality that i have as a mother is showing my love to my daughters!! I tell my daughters that i love them at least 10 times a day! I feel that telling your children that you do in fact love them is a huge factor of parenting that tends to get forgotten about! I love to play with my kids and we all just laugh as we play for hours! I love the bonding time that i get with them. I love to take them to the park and watch them play and laugh! Seeing the smiles on their little faces is truly a reward on its own! We color and i help my oldest daughter with her homework. I feed and clothe them and i always put them first above anything else including me!
