do you believe that Jesus was born on December 25?
I don't. because December 25 was only agreed to make Jesus 'sbirthday by the roman emperor.. they made it December 25 in honor for the Roman Sun God.. whose feast day falls on December 25. If you don't believe that jesus was born on Dec 25, why do you still celebrate christmas on dec 25?
when you celebrate christmas arent you honoring the sun god and not Jesus?

There is really no proof that Jesus was born on 25th December. It was just agreed upon by some council in the 300s. Me and my religion doesn't believe that Christ was born on that date. So that means we don't celebrate Christmas. =)

Hallo Ainee82,
For your information, Christmas celebration emerged between year 325-354 by Pope Liberius, which is determined on date 25 December, as a same time as a moment to sun god, occationally conducted in 6 january, 18 October, 28 April or 18 Mei. Emperor Konstantine legalizes 25 December as the birthday of Jesus christ (Natal/Christmas).
To Uncover the curtain of christmas on 25 december which is believed as Jesus Birthday, let's pay attention on what's the Bible said about the birth of Jesus in Luke 2:1-8, and Mathew:2, 10-11.
Luke 2:1-8 said
#1. Now when Jesus born in Betlehem of judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from east of jerusalem. #2. Saying Where is he that is born King of Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, an are come to worship him.

#3. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusallem with him. #4. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be Born.

#5. And they said unto him, In Betlehem of Judea: for thus it is written by the prophet, #6. An thou Betlehem, In the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a governor, that shall rule my people Israel. #7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. #8. And he sent them to Betlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

#10. When They saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding Great joy. #11. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincesse and myrrh.

It was the council of Nisae (in the 300s) that agreed the date for the birth of christ. Although no-one really knows the exact dates, it does atleast give us a chance to celebrate the birth of our Saviour. Let's face it, without it we would all be worse off!
So let's be grateful that we have a day to celebrate on.
Love and light.

Hmmmm, your question s true, that is for sure. and, what a great thought it is. you are right about December 25th though. However, Yule is celebrated on the 21st. which, is a Holiday of many Pagans around the world. When you dig into the history of all religions in general, you realize that even though they may have different beliefs, they indeed are the same thing.
Peace!

thank for taking time reading my discussion and what are posted here. I hope you have read everything that were shared by everyone. yet i don't agree with what you said that it's made of tradition. although it shows a tradition. but what tradition are we following? tradition of God or of men? who is more important? in addition to this... are u also saying that the bible is made of tradition? then why did God send an angel to help the authors who wrote on each book in the bible. another thing, i doubt that you have tested ALL the religions in the world. I truly doubt that. please be careful with what you say. You can't have possibly gone and checked out all the religions in the world. I even haven't. There's so many.. even cults are in some ways religion as well. have u also checked them out? have you also heard of different protestant's religion and so on.. pagans have also different religions, would you like to dwell on that too. i'm not trying to offend you but find truth in what you are saying. just by a word "all" it changes everything. see.. even a person of common sense could interpret that. but what about the bible? there are so many twist and turns and riddles that we must try to solve. how proud are we that we think that we could understand every bit of it... yes we could if we were given the wisdom. but how can you receive something you have blocked.

I do not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was born in December 25. There's nowhere in the Holy Bible that indicate that the Lord was born in such date or just even near that date. No one in the Holy Bible celebrated Christmas nor is it commanded that we celebrate Christmas.
I do not celebrate Christmas but of course I eat the preparations during Christmas.
