I want to hear your oppinion on etsy.com ? Do you love it, do you hate it? I have recently found it, and I just love it! It's great to have a community just for handcrafted items. My shop is at http://stitchesandsteel.etsy.com
Check out this site. I bet you'll find something that you'll love!

I had 8 different items posted on Etsy for over a month and didn't sell anything. I had 2 baby layettes, 2 pairs of slipper socks, handmade crib sheets etc. My stuff was priced very low--just the cost of materials. Like the crib sheets cost me (in round numbers) $8 just for the fabric and then there's thread, elastic and labor. I listed them for $10. Nothing sold. From what I could see, not many people sold much on there. Compared to Ebay, it's awful!

Thus far, I've had better luck on Etsy than on EBay! I sold something within the first 3 hours of posting it. You really have to market yourself on etsy, I've found, on sites other than etsy. You have to think of your Etsy shop as a store instead of the way you think of Ebay.
Message me with your link, and I'll make you my friend on Etsy!

I haven't bought anything on it yet. I love the site though, there is so many different hand crafted things that you can't get anywhere else. Good luck selling there.
