I just got back from my gig! I had gig in my school where i was taking my guitar lessons. I was very surprised to see how much people have come to hear me. This wasnt my first gig so i wasnt really excited. First of all, my teacher said me to come one hour before the gig. When i got there i saw that i ll play with only two of eight people from my class! i thought maybe they will manage to be rhythm guitars since i am solo guitar. Gig started half an hour later than it was supposed to start. We were the last on the list. At the beginning of the gig room was full and you couldnt even breathe! But at the end i have played in front of 20 people. my "friends" who were supposed to be the rhythm guitar for me got scarred and started to play really fast and incorrect. I was so angry! I finished my part and ran out of the room. I said to my teacher very impolite things like f*** you and so on. I was really pissed of. Then i found out that i cant get my jacket for another 20 minutes because other people were having gig. I said to principal that he can s*** me and i got inside to get my jacket. Now i am sitting in front of my computer and writing this to my friends here on mylot. I practiced really hard for today and my friends disappointed me. I hope i ll never see them because right now i hate them and i hate that stupid school. 6 months of hard work gone in wind because of someone who didnt wanted to practice!

Chill mate! when you are out signed to a great label you'll be able to remind your past mates of their mistakes while you are gigging it on your world tour!

Well, at least you got your first gig, I'm sure all big stars of today had lousy first gigs as well. You're only 16 and lucky enough to at least have an audience. Even though it was just 20 people. And it was your friends who screwed up, not you, maybe they just got nervous. But think of it this way, if they sucked so much, it just made you look like a better guitar player. Life isn't always perfect but we all make the best of it as we can. At least you're part of a school that does encourage music studies. And trust me, that doesn't happen everywhere. My school had no extra curricular activities at all. Even the sports was canceled in my last year, and that really sucked. I know you're all pissed and stuff, and you had every right to be. But no matter how much you're pissed you should always keep your composure and never lose respect for anyone, especially your teachers. I don't wanna sound preachy but that's the way it is, your school is not as bad as mine was, so consider yourself lucky that you can at least have this skill and a proper guitar at such a young age.
