My house is a disaster area! Update to Home Improvement H E Double Hockey Sticks

Well, we started on the kitchen floor. Now the cabinets and counter tops look disgusting, but the floor looks fantastic! The rest of my house has gone to the pits in the midst of this "little" home improvement project. It doesn't help that we were also about 3/4 of the way through installing new trim and a door to our bedroom. My appliances are in the dining room, there is a serious coating of dust on every surface in the living room due to the door and trim project. And I don't even want to look at the condition of the carpet from the mess from the doorway. My hubby promises to have it done by next weekend. Which is when we are supposed to start installing the laminate in the dining room. I see much mess in my future!
