wedding planner helps... my uncle didnt have one so the wedding was a disaster.. no one knew when to walk to stop where to sit etc. my brother (almost brother) had a planner and the wedding was so smooth as well as the reception... it would be nice if the wedding is in the church if youre devout catholics but it could also take place in a garden, beach or wherever... or what if you conduct it in the river the your bride will be coming from the other side or farther end of the river in a raft full of flowers or candles.. (i watched that somewhere. hmmm) as for the reception make it in a way that both of you like.. if you like music, make it a concert-reception... coz the usual reception (here in the philippines) is that they eat, let the dove free, eat the cake, champagne, toast, dance, catch the flower, catch the (i dont what it's called) etc etc is boring.. incorporate the old tradition that you have and the modern... it would be good if your friends will plan with you.. the more ideas coming from those people who knows you.. the better... but as most of us here would say... the wedding and reception is nothing compared to how both of you will live and love each other.. so have a happy and blessed married life..!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey jay first of all i would like to congratulate you.Now to your planning of your wedding,i will suggest you that be humorous as much you can that shows how much you are happy of being wedded with her.On the first night gift her jewellery's of her choice. Now thats on you that you should know her choice. i will prefer church as venue for your wedding.

hi jay185! check out this website: www.weddingannouncer.com. it's a support group for people about to be married. the members there have a lot of great ideas and help each other out.y ou can create your own website too so you can update friends and family about your preparations for the upcoming wedding. i have a couple of friends who used this site and have only good things to say about it. regarding your wedding, just remember that everything is just icing on the cake. they are not very important -- so don't stress out too much about the little things. just enjoy!!!

what i would want at a wedding are fireworks. i think it'll be very cute and no one would foget about your wedding because of the fireworks! so have fun planning the wedding and have a happy marrage!

to add a personal touch, you can put pictures of the places you and your partner have been to, or simply wacky shots at each table (one for each table). also, instead of hopping around from table to table for pictures, you can set a cute couch (i suggest red hehehe) where you, your groom and your friends can take pictures.people at each table will have their turn for picture takings.that way, the couple wont be too harrassed from walking. especially the bride, if you'll wear a stilleto, that can be very painful. last suggestion, sis take a break from tradition. explore other options. uniques if fun. =)

Congratulations on your engagement! I'm also planning my wedding right now. We're having ours at a church, and then probably having the reception at a banquet hall nearby. If you don't care about having it at a church, there are some reception facilities that will let you have your ceremony and reception in the same building. If you aren't sure what's available in your area, I would try looking in the phonebook, and keep an eye out in the newspaper for bridal shows that might be coming up in your area. Those are great for finding vendors and getting tons of info for what's available in your area. Another REALLY good resource is www.theknot.com and www.weddingchannel.com is pretty good too. They're both free, and it gives you local resources and you can talk to other brides in your area! Good luck!! :)
