I did and I hated it. Costumers can be very rude. Anyway, is there a call center job that is fun and easy to do. I can't believe that a major company would treat there customers this way. The calls were limited to less then 2 minutes. I was working for a bank. To all you folks that do work in a call center I wish you all the best.

if you're looking for fun, you're not looking for a job. there's no such thing as an easy job. in working it is the environment that is important for me. even i it's hard but i have great co-workers it's okay. but if they're not though the work is good i'll leave. working in a call center is hard. it's a misconception of the public that it's an easy job. it's not just answering calls. it's what you know to answer these questions and how to handle the customers.

I worked in a call center for 2 years for a health insurance company. I hated it. I was tied to the phone for 7 hours out of my 8 hour work day, i had to take my break when my shcedule said to , i had no flexiblility in there, and yes some people are so rude, i can tell you I cried more then once after getting off the phone with a rude person.

I haven't but have considered it. I decided I didn't want to deal with that. I know how rude people can be.

I am currently with a call center and I am happy with work. I work for a technical account and yes, it will take a lot of effort to stay in this industry. If you are not patient and you hate to be trash talked by people who barely know you, then this job is not for you.

I think I worked there for two weeks and I hated it so I quit. They are really hard to work for and gives you alot of stress.

I worked for a year and a half in a high-volume call center. I've never worked so hard for so little. It was really brutal. There was no break whatsoever between calls, but we had to take care of a large number of incoming faxes as well. I would have a stack of faxes on my desk an inch deep and I wasn't allowed to get to them because I was expected to always be answering the phone, but I was also expected to get all those faxes taken care of anyway. I managed to stay on top of it, but only because I'm driven to do well and was very determined to impress my bosses. I can't say it was worth it, though because I didn't advance or make any more money that the reps who didn't get half as much done. And then there's the stress of dealing with the people. Almost everyone who calls is having a crisis and it's ALL YOUR FAULT even if really you had nothing to do with it. I hope I never have to do it again.
