Why don't we just limit ourselves to the facts mentioned in the verses. You added the word ALIVE in capitals to prove your point which was not in the verse. Here are the obvious points: Jonah was in the fish belly for 3 days and 3 nights Jesus was in earth's belly for 3 days and 3 nights Was the prophecy fulfilled? yes. The end of the story. But for you it's not the end. You raised more questions. Was Jonah alive? One could have asked more following your logic of reasoning. Is there a cross in the belly of the fish? Are there weeds and bars on the cross? Questions after questions can never end?Since you mentioned Jonah was alive. Where in the Book of Jonah can you find the word alive? The words you capitalized and added. One principle of sound exegesis is to be silent when the texts are silent and speak when the texts speak. I don't care what you hear about what other Christians are saying. Just limit yourself to the Scriptures. You said Jesus failed miserably. No, you failed miserably in your interpretation. Your little understanding gave you the audacity to say words that are uncalled for and conduct unbecoming of a serious student of Holy Books as you describe yourself.
