What's your favourite recipe for cookies, any kind? Mine is this recipe for Snickerdoodles: Ingredients for cookies - 1/2 C butter 1/2 C shortening 1 C white sugar 1/2 C brown sugar 2 eggs 2 3/4 C flour 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp baking soda Topping - mix together: 1 T cinnamon 3 T sugar Directions: Preheat oven to 375F Cream together the shortening and butter, then add the sugars and cream them. Add the eggs one at a time and blend them in. Add flavourings and mix well. In another bowl, mix together the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda) Pour the dry mix into the wet mix and blend them. Roll the dough into small, teaspoon-sized balls and roll them in the topping. Bake on a cookie sheet 8-10 minutes. Enjoy.

Yum, I love peanut butter cookies. Do you do the criss-cross thing with the fork to make the cookies have a pattern on top? I always thought that was a really cute feature of peanut butter cookies. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Chocolate Chip Cookies – Phil’s famous recipe Preheat oven to 350º Put in mixer and blend: 2/3 cup Margarine 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 cup sugar Add and keep mixing (just leave the mixer on as you add stuff – the more blended the better) 2 eggs Add and keep mixing 1 tsp vanilla 2/3 cup vegetable oil 1 tsp salt Add and keep mixing 3 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda Add and stir in 12 oz chocolate chips Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets, and bake for 8-9 minutes. The cookies should not look brown at all, but should look barely cooked. Cool on countertop. You should have to tilt the cookie sheet to remove with spatula. That’s how limp they should be. Makes about 4-5 dozen.

Mine would have to be recipes that I have both for chocolate chip cookies, as well as peanut butter cookies. I love how they always end up turning out! They are so moist & I love how they melt in your mouth.. And I also know that there a big hit around our house.. It seems once I've made them they don't even last for two or three days.. There gone rather fast! I included both recipes below if anyone is interested. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx "Chocolate Chip Cookies." Ingredients are as follows: - 3/4 cup of sugar - 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar - 1 cup of butter - 2 1/2 cup of all purpose flour - 1 tsp of baking soda - 1/2 tsp of salt - 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips Directions are as follows: - Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. - In a large to medium sized bowl.. Mix the sugar, the brown sugar, the butter & the egg by hand. - Then stir in the flour, the baking salt, & also the salt. The dough will be very stiff. Then stir in the chocolate chips. - Then drop the dough by rounded teaspoons. 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. - Then bake the cookies for 8 - 10 minutes or until light brown. Centers will be very soft. - Then allow to cool for one or two minutes & then remove & place them on a wire rack to finish cooling. Then serve & enjoy! The next recipe is for the "Peanut Butter Cookies" that are just to die for! . . I always get complimented whenever I make these cookies because a lot of people tell me how they've never had peanut butter cookies melt in there mouth.. And be so soft before they tried mine! . . "Peanut Butter Cookies." Ingredients are as follows: - 1 cup of butter, softened - 1 cup of white sugar - 1 cup of packed brown sugar - 2 eggs - 1 egg yolk - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract - 1 (18 ounce) of peanut butter - 2 cups of all purpose flour - 1 teaspoon of baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon of salt Directions are as follows: - In a large bowl, cream butter, white sugar & brown sugar until smooth. - Then add the eggs, the yolks & the vanilla & mix until fluffy. Then stir in the peanut butter. - Then stir the flour, baking soda & the salt in to the peanut butter mixture. And refrigerate the rough for at least 1 - 2 hrs. - Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C.) Lightly grease a cookie sheet as well. - Then roll the rough in to walnut sized balls. And place on the prepared cookie sheet & flatten slightly with a fork. Bake for 12 - 15 mins in preheated oven. - The cookies should look dry on top. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before removing to cool completely on a rack. These cookies taste great when slightly undercooked I had found. ENJOY! xx
