I was blessed 2 years ago to be able to go to Australia and while there my husband and I were special guests of our son on the set of Superman Returns. It was so exciting and really was a learning experience. It is so amazing the amount of hard work and dedication that the actors/actresses put into their craft...We were able to watch the actual filming of several parts and got to walk the entire set...The set designers are such artists...The entire Daily Planet building was one of my favorite sites. The details in the sets completely blew me away. The desk drawers ( closed or open) contained authentic articles that were specific to the time period..Everything was so precise...WE got to meet Brandon Routh and he hugged me while in his complete Superman costume..Now I feel pretty invicible..like if I were to fall off a building I'm poistive that Superman would come swooping down and save me!! I could go on forever about the talent and hard work that these dedicated individuals apply to this profession...but I will just say..have you ever been on the set of a big film and seen the security and secrecy in action?...Were you as amazed as I at the length of time it takes to get a scene wrapped?...Then new technology is so astounding...as in "watching Superman Fly"....and by the way...Brandon Routh is absolutely a dream...he is so sweet and so genuine...it was refreshing... and although I'm quite prejudiced about this film..I really thought it was great.

I work as a background actor (extra) so I watch the actual filimg of movies all the time. I love being on a movie set and I always have a great time. I meet a lot of interesting people, get fed well and make money at the same time. It doesn't get much better than that!

I've always said I thought it would be interesting to see. I know they do a lot of films in toronto and would love to go up there some day when they're doing one. But I've never had the opportunity to see it all happen in action!

No I have never had this privelage. I would love to see a movie in the making. I love watching behind the scenes stuff on the dvd's they have now. My brother watched them make Urban Cowboy and he said it was quite boring for him, but he was also there every day. He said they would shott one 5 minute scene maybe 100 times. He was exhausted watching it. LOL Then he watched the movie and was amazed at how they tool all that material and compiled it into a great movie. I wanted to go see one right then when he told me this. To work on a set would be awesome I think.

not sure if you have ever heard of the movie "The Lottery" that was filmed in Statesville North Carolina or not but i was fortunate enough to get to see some of this film being taken. my ex was a security guard that watched over the places where the stars was. i couldn't believe i was actually close enough to reach out and touch Dan Cortese. i regret soooooo bad that i had to be a shy dummy and not get his autograph i still to this day kick myself in the butt for that lol

It really was hard not to ask for autographs but since it was such a big production and the director and producer were so kind to let us be in secured areas we restrained ourselves...we even got to go to a couple of parties with the cast...it was a geat experience..Jimmy Olsen ( the character) is such a super guy...I was so glad to meet him ( real name Sam)...they all treated us like we were part of their group...quite a nice experience...
