do you really need to wear make-up to look pretty?

i still prefer girls with few or no make-ups on their faces. But most of the girls today wear make-ups. So as long as it is not heavily applied on the their faces it would be fine

solution for an ugly face? there's no such thing as UGLY FACE! only if you dont take good care of your skin your likely to have acnes and pimples the size of a stadium!LOL!!!! i really dont like wearing make up because they make my skin look dry and i get pimples! when going to office i would put on face powder and a lip gloss. i only wear make up during very special occassions like wedding and dinner. i dont know with other guys out there but some of them like my boyfriend dont want me to be wearing make up because wearing them wont show the real beauty of the skin and the face!

I know this sounds awful but I disagree. I think only extremely beautiful people with amaizng skin look good without it. Since when did anyone look attractive with eye bags, spots etc. I feel make-up hides bad things so beauty can shine through. Make-up can also be a way of expressing yourself. I wear it everyday and love it!

I have never liked wearing makeup. My daughter wears it alot and i cannot stand it. I do use sunless tanning lotion though.

I don't think so. Make-up, if you don't put too much on your face, helps you to have a nice asprect. I don't say that without make-up a girl is ugly. Sometimes make-up helps you to look better, and definetly it doesn't hide your beauty if you know how to apply it.

It depends on how good you look without make-up. Some are born with natural beauty that even without make-up they look good, so lucky them :) But most women need make-up to enhance their beauty. Just the right amount of make-up will do, not over bearing and not like wearing a mask.

Well, make-up can either make you prettier or uglier, depending on how you put your make-up on. The best way is to always start naturally. Pick lipstick color that is closest to your natural lip color and foundation too. Don't apply thick powder and eyeliner and stuff like that. Earth colors and pinks are best for starters. And you know what? The most expensive make-up can look ugly on a really desperate and confidence-lacked girl. :) So, chin-up and feel pretty. :)

Make-up hides imperfections but it's only temporary. True beauty comes from within. If you're confident and if you have a big heart then you are really beautiful.

Its acctually not used because a person has an ugly face... I think makeup is mostly used to enhance the beauty. If you have sharp features you can use make up to show it clearly as a result it adds to you beauty.

I belive for me the defination of beauty is different from others , for me beauty is the inner beauty not the tonnes of make-ups and brushes , if a person has a good heart is beautiful for me , no cosmetic or make-overs can change that.....

Maybe some people really do need it. I'm confident enough about the way I look that I rarely ever use makeup at all. I think it's better for your skin if you don't use any of that stuff.
