I think we already have. For years AIDS was killing people and no one in power would even admit to it's existence. Now it's a worldwide issue and still we have no cure. People are dying from it everyday.

To cure AIDS, I'd be included in those 1000 people who'll give up their life.

Yeah and I think most people with aids would agree to this, if this is going to save he human race from this infliction i think most people with aids would offer up. They know that they are going to die anyway, so they would be better to die for a reason than just illness.

I feel like, logically, it would save more than 1000 people and I should definitely do it. I just don't think I have it in me to kill anyone, though, let alone 1000 presumably innocent people. So, no, I guess I wouldn't.

sure I would. compared to all those it would help, 1000 people is nothing. unfortunate for them, but for the greater good it is worthwhile.

No. The ends do not justify the means. What I would do is continue to pour as many resources as possible into research for a cure.

If the lives of those 1000 people will save the world from aids and to the future generations, I think it's worth. This reason is for my own opinion only, no offense to others.
