what can you say about spitting in public?

maybe, from where you are, this is already banned. but here in my country, oh, you see people spitting everywhere and it's really disgusting! i've taught my kids not to do that in public (same with peeing anywhere, too). i beleive that changes should come from yourself. but come to think of it, i'm only one compared to millions of people who do practice this. it's so frustrating.

I know spitting in public is disgusting but sometimes I do it if I can't hold it anymore. I just make sure that nobody sees me when I spit. Although I do it sometimes but I always make sure that I spit on the right place. I don't want myself get a bad impression from other people. Spitting is disgusting but if you just hold it, don't you think it's more disgusting?

Thank goodness people can't pee in public here! Spitting is bad enough. I think that is really disgusting. And what is worse, is the guy that blows his nose onto the pavement. Yuck! Nice discussion this one...LOL

good for you, you live in the US where laws on this type of behavior is stricter. here in the philippines, people spit and pee everywhere they want to. yeah, we're hospitable people, we're respectful and we're kind but all that is just about balanced by the disgusting habit of treating public roads their own toilet.

Spitting in public is disgusting and only shows unprofessionalism. YOu can do the act on the toilets, or do it on the trash can, or have it in a tissue paper. Don't do it publicly. It's one source of bacteria of dread diseases.

I agree with you on this matter and i also do not think that it is right to just spit everywhere! My girls are still young but they have treied to spit at times and i for one also do not allow this behavior! Spitting in public is yucky!
