A computer mouse, that is. Next month I am going to have surgery on my right shoulder and I will have to keep my arm immobile for 6 weeks. since I am right handed i will have a hard time making my left hand run the mouse. You computer geeks out there, do you know fo any kind of a mouse that would be easier for me to use?

Try a left handed mouse - this is one, there must be more out there. http://www.thelefthand.com/lefmoususb1.html

You need a disabled access thing, like a wand, or using the arrows instead of the mouse. Control Panel Accessibility Options on Windows. DO NOT take the chance with that shoulder. You can do yourself more damage than you can imagine. It could affect healing, and posture. Believe me, no joke. Different kinds of mouse, I'm not sure. The trouble is really adapting to whatever you're using while convalescing. Typing could be rough, too, so take it easy and don't push it or you could affect the left arm. Don't know what sort of work you do, obviously, but be realistic.
