Have you been trying to broaden your taste in music?

I suggest a band from Toronto, Canada. Their song, "unaware", was recently heard on the popular tv show, The O.C. The rock, down-tempo sounding band hasn't released a CD yet, but check them out. www.TheMidwayState.com What band do you suggest?

I checked out their songs at their MySpace and it's pretty good. I do try to broaden my taste in music every so often and listen to artists or songs I normally wouldn't because it's great having a wide variety in your music collection. I'm not sure if you listen to them, but I've always loved Copeland (http://thecopelandsite.com) and Rilo Kiley's (http://rilokiley.com) another great indie pop band I've only recently gotten into.

Rilo Kiley is delicious, I started listening to them about a year ago..Portions for foxes is my favourite song. I'm checking out copeland right now on myspace and they sound good. Have you ever heard anything by the Western States Motel? They've got an interesting sound. thanks for replying to this! I completely forgot about it

Rilo Kiley's one of those bands I keep on hearing about but never really listened to until a friend insisted that I did. I only had a couple of their songs before and Portions for Foxes was one of them. I now have all of their albums though, but I can't really pick a favorite. I listened to The Western States Motel and I like their songs. One of their songs was apparently on The OC as well, haha. I used to get a lot of songs from that show, but stopped being so obssesive about it lately. I think I'll pay more attention to the songs again now though, hehe.

love - what is love ?
there is no such thing as trying to broaden you taste in music , that is what i feel , because liking a prticlar kinda music comes from within yourself . i think if one doesnot like headbanging music then you can never like it , even if you pretend liking it you can never enjoy it .
