A kid brother ...growing up!!!

I've a kid brother who's going to turn 13 this october. He's finally going to be a teenager. At times, it surprises me at seeing how fast he is growing up. I want to make his 13th birthday a very memorable one which he would cherish all his life. But, I cannot think of any unique way. Can you give me some ideas? As he's growing into a fine boy, I want to make him realise of his responsibilities well as an individual. I want him to understand life. What is the best way that i can make him aware of the hazards of alcohols and drugs? Many young lives have been destroyed by it. So, can you share your thoughts regarding it?
