Iam often alone and silen in which i think. Silence can mean any things:a pause in conversation, a hesitation, peaceful stillness...How valuable silence is!Its the art of not passing on secret, keeping quiet or bitting one's tongue when one longs to say exactly what ona think . Then there is the comfort of being wuth someone without having to make conversation, of being onesself.

There are many times in life that this is very true. Our hearing can be a blessing if what we want to hear is peaceful and good. But even when we are forced to listen to things we don't like it is still a blessing.
I can tell you that to loose your hearing takes you out of life. There is that image of the old man with the megaphone he has to use to hear you. And you, as a young person, think that is funny. You even see that he just sits there and never says anything.
Loosing your hearing is so much more than we ever think it is. We cannot hear even the simplest of things. Birds, Water running, music is no longer enjoyable, movies are completely out, and just sitting and talking with someone takes a great effort and only when you can read their lips. If in a group..they might as well be speaking a foreign language because to you they are.
We take this gift so much for granted that we have no idea how much we learn, how much we rely on hearing to communicate, how very precious it is.
If someone walks by and you say hi and they don't say anything back remember this.....they may not have heard you. I can't tell you how many times that has happened to
me and how distressing that is.
So yes silence is golden but never take it for granted.
