I was reading a discussion on how the world hates americans, and remembering back my younger tourist days, its amazing how well-received I was because I was from Brazil. I look like an american and speak English, I even get spat at when travelling overseas... luckily all I ever need to do is point to my brailian football tee and say "No.. Brazil" and often I get free lodging and new friends. Ive got a marriage offer in India, a month´s lodging in Thailand, a free state trip in malaysia, I actually got brazilian football tshirts to sign by kids chanting "Ronaldo" in Vietnam, in South Africa I had an entire´s week stay paid for with food and all. Is it because of football? Samba? Our friendliness? Our neutrality? I dont know, but damn, its great being a brazilian, sometimes I feel bad for my american mates.

I think it is because of football. You need a reason to hate.People create reasons to hate America or the Americans make reasons for them. Either way it is sad.But lucky for you. Good luck.Enjoy the freebies offered to Ronaldo and company. Hehehehe.

There only a few things that I like about Brazil. Sepultura and your whorish women. If there was anything worth having in Brazil someone would have claimed the land and burned you out.

Yup I think Brazillian are well accepted by many. Personnally I will accept a Brazillian with open heart because I always saw them playing soccer on tv. They are professional soccers who are good and high in discipline.I never saw any Brazillian soccer fights in any soccer match. I also know a Brazillian who is quite good in soccer back when I was studying in Australia. As he has many tricks in soccer field he has many 'tricks' in life too..
