This is a growing threat in our society. Some people steal your identity then they can apply for credit cards and loans in your name. Are immune against this threat? Most people I know are not. They don' t mind throwing their old bills, bank accounts statements in the garbage without shredding them. A shredder just costs 20$ or so, but people are unfortunately so lazy or maybe so unconscious. It is always the same story, I am not concerned, it only happens to others... Do you shred your important documents? Do you give personal information when somebody calls you on the phone for a survey? Do you leak personal information in your blog?

We have never been the victims of identity theft at this point, but are aware that it is a growing concern. We do take care when handling our personal information and either keep items, important paperwork, locked away or do use a shredder. We bought ours for $2.00 at a yard sale last year. Cheers!
