Dude if the players aren't playing you can never blame the coach. It's like a teacher can never tell that all his/her students are going to get merit! Right? So i guess the players should make an effort that irrespective of the opening partnership (which is atmost important).... each one should give whatever they have, after all realising that they're playing for INDIA as a whole.

my opinion is that we will continue after the world cup 2007.he is the best for indian team.after he came to india as coach.india won so many matches .also india won so many cups.india also got the chasing record after he came as coach to india .

Hi buddy... I think you cant take him granted! I think India will lose badly in worldcup this time, also it will be fault of Chappel because I think he lacs strategy Plans which should be foemulated by a coach, as John Wright did! So after the great debacle of our team in world cup, I think even you will dont like to see him any more, Will you????

I think that it is too early to start discussing about the team post world cup. This is generally the time when the senior cricketers retire. I believe Greg Chappell's future depends largely on how India performs in the WC

I think it is too premature to think about that. But, personally I have not seen any revolution that has taken place since he became the Indian coach. Maybe he is acting in the backend, we can relieve ourselves,"assuming" that. But, if Indian team does some wonders in the world cup, then I would really put my bet on him.

Yes, because in contrast to previous coaches who were satisfied with short term immediate results, chappel is one fellow who seems to be aiming for the future wellness of cricket in india with his present day strategies. You can see that non performing players are made to perform well now (eg.sourav, zaheer) to become part of the team, indian tail is really wagging well now with responsible contributions from tail enders and bowlers (bhajji, agarkar), more concentration in finding pace bowlers (there is a pool of talents now in munaf patel, VRV singh and sreesanth) and shaking players out of their comfort zone in general by stressing on multiple and varied roles for everyone (remember the home series against srilanka where even before they could guess who will hit them next, the entire series was over in our favour). Now because of his experiments, we have the unique chance of placing a balanced 15 member team for the world cup. Some of his policies may not sound appropriate presently, but I feel we are on the road to become the next australia in the immediate future if we choose to retain him for the subsequent years after the world cup. I'm sure true cricket lovers, not personality preferring people, will undoutably accept my humble opinion on chappel.
