Yes, if the wife doesn't like it and the husband forces her, that's rape. Force is an element of rape. Although the wife should give her body to her husband according to the Holy Bible. But there might be reasonable grounds for the woman to refuse.

Yes, he can. When a woman says no and the man forces himself upon her it is rape. No matter what the personal relationship between the two.

I think it is possible, especially when a woman says that she doesn't want to and she is forced by her husband to do it against her will.

This is depicted in some old regional movies. This is a crime under certain conditions. May be you do not know the circumstances.

As per the law as i know in India, its not a rape if the wife is more than 15 years of age. Then how could such charges be put on the husband. If that is the case then i think every man should be very careful about this. What are your comments?

vinay, this is a sad fact, but very true. most Indian women do encounter violence right in their homes. and most of them do not come out in the open because of fear or shame. they fear that society may condemn them. it is also a fact that they do not get enough support from the other members of their family. In our Indian society, marital violence, as it is known, is very much prevalent. i really feel that more such incidents should come out in the open, so that the guilty may be punished!
