What would you do if your best friend needed a kidney and you found out that you were a match? You can only live with one kidney, so if you donated yours and your other one failed you......would you risk it?

First of all i will like to say if i were a match for my friend or any one else i will be very glad to give it.Secondly, Any good hospital does not permit any one other than parents or own sibling to donate kidney.3rdly doctors do check repeatedly whether other kidney is 100% fine to work, because they dont risk two life at a time.

okay if thats a fact then I don't see any problem with donating my kidney for the person I love. what goes around comes around..I think my loved ones also will do the same for me.

Tough one! Depends on how good a friend they were. Would they do the same for you? I'd say,I would take my chances; if they were a friend I would do all I could to help; What are the chances of being so unlucky that your one remaining kidney packs up on you? I mean, you've been the good guy, right? You have to believe in some kind of justice, surely!

I would risk it. If mine failed I would have the hope that someone would do the same for me.. If u do not help others u have no right to feel that they should help you...
