Parties are great fun. The 21st birthday is always a special one in which your daughter will want to remember for years to come. I would suggest buying throw-a-way cameras and place them sparaticly around the party area so at any given time one of the guests can pick one up and take pictures. I would also say to have it video taped as a good memory of the event. You may want to consider a scap book in which you start and ask on the invitations for guests to bring pictures or items of rememberance with them and your daughter to add to the scrap book. This will be a great keep sake and something you daughter will cherish for years to come. The guests also love getting involved in how the book comes out. Because you are having a BBQ and most events will be held out doors. I would suggest finding a local party supply store and seeing if you could rent on of those blow up bouncing machines. It never seems to matter the age everyone loves them. They also have things like sumo wrestling suits, bungi run blow ups, etc. These things are great fun and actually quite affordable. I hope these ideas have helped, have a great time and best wishes for a wonderful party.

pictures are always a good idea for anything. i have never thought to place cameras randomly around the area though... with the kids in my family, i'm liable to end up with pictures of the dogs butt or worse lol.

That is another great idea ! We thought of throwing water balloons on her at her 21st birthday party or pour icy cold water on her or pour a huge tub of jelly all over her !! These are some ideas her kid brothers thought of !!!

i can tell you what my daughter and all the kids and adults present enjoyed at her 20th birthday. It has long been a tradition for me and my kids to have two birthday cakes at their parties.. one for eating and one for the cake fight afterwards. i just turned em all loose in the yard and let em go to town with the "throwaway" cake. Cleanup is no problem cause animals will take care of that for you. It is hilarious for the adults watching the kids enjoy themselves and for the kids involved in it, it is magical and something they will remember forever. Unihibited joy .. what more could you want at a party?

We had a big party for one of my son's high school graduations, parents, family, his friends, and all ages of kids. The most fun was when some of the "guys" decided to see who could climb the rope that hung from our willow tree (documented one of the largest in Michigan). The oldest to participate was 60 and the youngest 3 - it was great fun and went on for a couple hours. I would suggest some game: soccar, volley ball, divide up teams so they are equal young and old.
