I have just read a very intereting article which announces the launch of some new fragrances and gave a lot of really interesting information about the chanel "nose" who has created them. The ingredients are absolutely heavenly and I think that the name of the range, Exclusifs, sums it up. Unfortunately my little bubble of happiness went pop at the end of the article. They will be on sale in Chanel outlets only for the eye watering sum of two hundred pounds a bottle! I would need a mortgage to buy a bottle!

I think the price in dollars would give you a fit! The price in pounds was pretty disappointing to me as way beyond my purse. According to the converter I just used that is $389.8! I really enjoy Chanel. I was given some no5 by somebody who got tired of it (really!) and I bought some Allure by saving my loyalty points at Boots. I can't see me spending that much on a bottle of perfume unfortunately. As to an asthma attack, Chanel is usually quite moderate, but you would have to get someone else to put a little dab on their wrist and then let you sniff, but they would have to be ready to run if you started to sneeze!

Unfortunately I have to agree that that is way too much just for a bottle of perfume, however much I would very much like to wear some of it. The whole thing with Chanel is the exclusivity, so I suppose it will never be cheap, but I would have liked maybe an itsy bitsy bottle at a much lower price!

I don't think it will come down very far, that is the point of the Exclusif range, unfortunately. I don't think you are lucky not to be able to enjoy perfume, it is one of the real joys of my life, but it doesn't have to be expensive. The perfume of Lily of the Valley plants, Roses or Lavender all cheer me immensely.
