I use Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser as i find its the easiest to use, Yesterday i upgraded to the latest version 2.0 and it comes with a built in spell check, you don't even have to do anything, anytime you are typing anything on any page, if you misspell a word a red line comes up under the word, you simply right click on the word and it gives you a list of words to insert the correct spelling, Its perfect for me as i always write out a post of response and send it and then when i read it i notice all the typos, this way i can quickly fix them as i am typing and send it without having to worry about it, just wanted to share as i was so excited to find out about this new feature =)

Sounds wonderful - because I can't count how many times I post my response and while it's hanging I notice the typos. Problem is my hubby tried Mozilla and had a similar problem to kitchenwitchoftupper. In fact more problems than that - wouldn't go into so many sites. Then we also had problems running Nortons, so many problems that we had to look for alternate virus protection. I don't know - maybe it's just us. But I do like the Spell Check function on Mozilla. Maybe one day IE will have it too.

And I'm sorry but I just had to laugh...there's a typo in your heading :) You have *thier* instead of *their* :))

LMAO, maybe i should pay more attention too. I run Norton anti virus and internet security with Mozilla and it works fine for me, so I'm not sure why others have had problems

I know what you mean about catching the typos after you hit the send button. I always wonder if y'all think I'm illiterate or something. Haha I'll be AskAlly never won a spelling bee in her life? Just kidding. I should check this mozilla out.

Thanks for this info. I'm typing fast and I see that I make tons of spelling errors and it is really frustrating!

I'm the same, and its funny how quickly your typos stand out to you AFTER you have posted, when before you post you don't even notice them at all

Once again, great post by you willo...it will be very helpful for many people. So if i understood well, it works like an automatical completer, like when you're writing a text message on a cell phone? please let me know since i also use Firefox and i might be interested in knowing more about it. Anyway, i wouldn't be me without my dear typos hehehe...but anyway it might be helpful for certain things, so i will wait for your reply, but thanks of advance

yeah, then it works in a similar way to the word completer of my cell phone, but without completing, just offers you a list of words....well sounds pretty cool! will have to give it a chance.

Firefox is great. I've been using it for years now. Version 2 is a great improvement to version 1 and I already loved version 1. I enjoy the addons you can add to it too, and the skins, but really the big benifits are the spellchecker (doesn't work quite the way you described on mac's, but still underlines anyways) and the security. Not nearly as many exploited holes in firefox as there are in IE.

I've heard about what a wonderful browser this is but when I last had it downloaded it caused me quite a bit of problems. I went back to Explorer and it automatically upgraded to Explorer 7 and don't you know - problems with that! I couldn't enter a customer order on my Tupperware Web-site - A Definite Major Big Problem! I downloaded Netscape Browser because I had previously had the problems with Firefox and now I am sooosoooooo confused as to what I should do - should have done. My brain is scrambled and rattled. I just know that my computer is slowing down and my McAffee is running out in a matter of days and that's almost $70.00 and I want to cry to the hills!~Donna
