Did any of you used to watch Justin Wilson's cooking show? It was on in our town on Sunday mornings, and I remember that I never missed a show! I dearly loved his show, his jokes, his sense of humor and his wonderful southern cajun recipes! I have many of his cookbooks and still make recipes from them. How about you?

" I gare-on-teee!! " i used to love watching the cooking shows on pbs when i was growing up! one of my favorite cooking styles is louisianna cajun and my favorite recipe is chicken snd sausage gumbo. it's very labor intensive so i only make it once or twice a year ( i always make a huge batch for mardi gras and deliver containers to all my friends! ) but it is soooo worth the work!

Oh my starrs, I was just scrolling through and saw your topic, it's scary my brother called me the other day and asked me to look him up on the internet, he wanted to make his cajun shrimp jambalaya, Justin does have a web site too but couldn't find what my brother was looking for. He use to be on with Julia Childs.

My opinion of him was that he really seemed to enjoy cookin' and teaching others how to cook. You had to really pay attention when he told you how to do anything or you would lose something in the dialect. I really enjoyed his brand of humor, too. You have reminded me that I still haven't gotten one of his cookbooks, yet. Thank you for the reminder. I borrowed one of his cookbooks many years ago to make jambalaya, it turned out great, of course.

Oh my gosh.....I used to love watching him.I'm sitting here smiling thinking about all the storys he used to tell.I love watching cooking shows but none of the new ones even come close to that one.I'm just wondering if everybody that responded to this topic would put in a request at PBS to start showing re-runs......it's just a thought....but wouldn't that be wonderful to be able to watch it again. I used to look forward to that show every sunday morning and I miss it very much.

We gonna have some good eatin' here, GuarOOOOWNTEEEE!!!! Used to watch him as often as I could, besides enjoying cooking and cajun foods, I loved his humor and his accent. I never got any of his cookbooks, nor really tried anything by his recipe, but a couple of his tips and tricks have been included in my cooking. I heard he also did a one man stage show like Gran'Pa Jones, and Will Rogers. A cajun comic, combining stories rather then jokes with his down home wisdom.

My family used to love watching his show. He was very unique. He was funny, entertaining and sometimes hard to understand with his thick cajun accent. :)

And here you are! :) Thanks for the reminder!
