Do I really need to give up my job for a business?

I am really bored whenever I'm in the office. I'm working for 7 years now and I still cannot see a bright future in having a job. Since I was a child, I always want to have my own business but until now, I don't have enough courage to take the risk of giving up my job and start a business. By the way, I'm already happily married w/ 1 loving daughter.

Most businesses you can start out part time, but it depends on the business. If you have a home business it actually is better to start out part-time then full-time. If it is a small business operation then yes, you would probably have a much harder time staying in your regular job. Besides that you are an employee as well to yourself and you'll probably be putting more hours into your business then family in the beginning. I prefer home businesses more so then a small startup business especially internet based home businesses because of the less overhead and business practicality.

Don't give up your job unless you can replace your income it's not easy starting your own business it takes time and patience and hard work maybe long hours too so think about it.

that's true. i'd like to go into business full-time, but i don't want to give up my day job. there's security here. so if i can find a business i can manage part-time, i'd go for that. our present economy is not very stable, so you'll never know what will happen to your business.

Job gives you a false sense of security in terms of regular pay checks each month. I suggest you save some capital on to a side and then start a business with it. If it starts flourishing give up your job and give your business full time. That way you will have something to fall back on to face the hard times in the initial period.
