Books are my friends since I can remember....I can still picture myself in the first bookshop I was in as a child...whenever I was granted a prize from my parents, I chose a book and I spent wonderful moment lingering between them..the books on the shelves and waiting for the rare moment in which I would find my new friend...my new book

Books are friends who never go away. You can come back to a book years later, and it will still be waiting for you, even if you've ignored it for a long time. And re-reading a book you've loved is like meeting up with an old friend again, and learning even more about them. Go BOOKS!

I hope you would include these in your reading. I am a Christian, a child of God, baptized into Christ on October 1, 1989 and I belong to the Church of Christ founded and headed by Christ as shown in Acts Chapter 2. I am given the gift of knowledge and understanding Bible Greek and I translate the Word of God from Greek to English PLAINLY - Greek word into its English equivalent with additional words for grammar purposes written in italics so that readers may delete them as the wish. I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin I have seen the versions being circulated worldwide and they are generally admitted to be 80% NOT translations. My translations are 99.99% translations and I see the truth, beauty, and sweetness of the Word of God. I hope these books could also help people understand the Word of God and be saved. May God bless you.

You are my kind of person. I really love to read a good book. I like to go and buy good books from the public library here (history, art, science, mystery, etc.)

Books are also my friends. In fact, I think I spend more time on this friend than my human friends, lol. I read books in almost all my spare time even when I am eating or if I know I will be in the bathroom quite a while! I am now worrying about where to put all the books I have bought over the years because my book cupboard is running out of space and I still have so many books which I have not put into it yet. I have been seriously reading since I was seven or eight and my dad used to buy me many books and I would also borrow from my brother when he gets some from his friends. Sometimes in order to finish a book in order that he can return it to his friends the next day I will read into the early hours of the morning just to try to finish the book because I can't bear not to know the ending. I usually also have a book on my bed so that if I can't sleep or just feel like reading, my 'friend' will be on hand.

we seem to have much in common...I would like to have one of those big houses with a big wooden library so to put there all my favourite "friends"...having enough space for books we read ...this is a main concern!!!

maybe they are going to discover books later on in their life...my elder brother kept laughing at me when he was a child...he laughed at me because I was so fond of my books...now he is the one who read the most in our family....keep on telling your children about books and keep reading yourself...they'll follow you one day

I really wasn't into reading as a child. We didn't have money for books. Any books that I read were done at school as a part of my education. I believe that this was the reason that I was never fond of reading. There are few authors whose books that I often read. When I find them at a tag sale I will buy them and read them in the summertime mainly. I love to spend time in the sun reading a good book.

Oh yes, I grew up before the home computer and internet times and books were my only way to seek knowledge an entertainment.. there was TV and movies too but books is something else, it's something you hold and treasure, i still have every book i ever bought :) yes they are like friends you can't sell them or give them away easily :) too bad that internet takes most of my free time now but i still find the time for reading books, not as much as i used to though :(
