What is your favourite flower?

Everyone has a favourite flower. Some changed their favouritism from time to time. When I was young, my favourite flower is the hibiscus. As an adult, my favourite is the rose. It does not matter what colour or type it is. The rose is a flower that means a lot to me and my wife. We loved to have some each day at our living room or dining table. What is your favourite flower? What significance does this flower brings to you, that you like it so much?

Rose is my all time favorite flower. I think it is a very romantic flower and at the same time it represents feminity. I like all the colors of the rose. When I was young I like the sunflower. I know it doesn't smell good but if you look at it, it looks very happy and relaxed. I also like the tulips, they are very simple yet elegant.

Lily of the Valley. Small and beautifully formed with an absolutely adorable fragrance. Our family always have a tub of this somewhere in the garden. It is even more poignant for me because my Parents, who have passed over, absolutely adored the flowers too, and the pots of plants I have were originally planted by them.

I have heard of this flower but do not know much about it. Where is it found? I will go on the internet to search more details on this flower. The name simply attracts me.

I live in the United Kingdom and this is a very popular plant here. I think it is also popular in France and they use it in perfumery quite a bit calling it Mugeut de Bois (not sure if I spelt the first thing right, I recognise it when I see it on a bottle lol). It has nicely shaped, quite long oval green leaves and delicate stems some out from them with little white bell shaped flowers which have a lovely scent which will fill a room if they are left there. I hope you are able to get some, and I hope you will find it as lovely as I do.

I have always loved lily of the valley. My grandmother always had some growning in her garden. Because they like shade they were always under some other bush or tree and to me, as a little girl, it always seemed to me that they were hiding, like a treasure Now that I have a house of my own I have some growing under our ceders.

my favorite flower is the moon flower. It is a large whiteish flower that opens only at night; they get as big as a dinner plate! They are gorgous on a night with a bright moon out.

This is new to me. The moon flower. Is it found in many countries? I hope one day, you'd be able to upload a photo of one so that all of us know how it looks like. Reminds me of another flower called Rafflesia.

Tulips are my favourite flowers. I don't know why. I like just yellow tulips, and I put them in a green flowerpot on my desk. It makes my mood better when I can look at them. Tulips associate with spring for me. Spring is my favourite season.

I have never had tulips before. You must have had good feelings with tulips. What I know is that tulips have really deep and rich colours. Do they last long if you placed them in a vase? One day, I think I should surprise my wife with some colourful tulips.

Your choice of flower is also shared by a few other members. It is a good flower to favouritize. Sunflowers brightens up the atmosphere. It makes one wanting to smile to see sunflowers in full bloom in the morning.

I love all flowers but Roses are my favourite or any blue flowers, such as cornflowers. It seems that nature decided not to use blue too often in flowers much to my disappointment! But if there was a such thing as a blue rose this would be my favourite.

Blue is a unique colour for flowers. I have seen small blue flowers that I do not know their name. It grows wild in the open fields. Small but sweetly cute. It does have some fragrance. Often, I'd find a field full of these flowers blooming. Just cannot recall it's name.

Since my wife is named Rose, I would have to say that my favorite flower is a large red rose. My wife is a wonderful person and I could never find a more beautiful Rose than my wife, the shining red flower of my life.

My favorite flower is the marigold. I like the shape, the different sizes, and the colors of the marigold. Another reason I like the marigold is that it reminds me of the flowers in the garden my mother had. She planted a special flowers for each of her daughters, and mine was the marigold.

Yes, marigold is another very sweet flower. Although I do not buy them but I still like them too. Your mother must have love flowers very much as well. I hope you do plant a lot around your home so that others will be blessed.

My favorite flower is an orchid. When I was a child I liked tiger lillies but as an adult the orchid is most beautiful to me. A beautiful shape and amazing colors. The fragilness is beautiful to me. You cant touch them just admire them from a distance cuz just breathing on them could kill it. Its beauty is just standing tall in a clay pot. Anyways thats my favorite :D

Orchids are surely a beautiful flower to behold. I have seen many wild orchids before in the jungles. Their beauty have surpassed many other tame varieties. In my country, orchids are always in great demand and sellers often hike the prices from time to time. It is one flower that recognises no seasons. Demanded all the time for different festivities.

It is a good description to use - happy flowers. Flowers are supposed to make us feel nice, refreshed and happy. Ever seen a sad flower? No, God never create them that way. Everytime I see flowers, they cheer me up.

i love orchids. i think theres something so exotic about them. Orchids bring a universal message of love, thoughfulness, beauty and wisdom. In China it signifies refinement, and the innocence of children. A pink orchid signifies pure affection. The popular cattalya orchid signifies mature charm so i hope i receive that every mothers day, once i have children that is!!

Orchids are really wonderful. I can understand why you chose them. They somehow gives a soothing touch to any decorations. I like wild orchids more than the breeded type. They last longer than the rest.

When I was young, one of the literature books I had to read in school is titled, "The Black Tulip". I cannot remember the name of the author. Is there really one? At that time, I think it was not possible but with modern agro-technology, this would have been possible, today.

white ross - white rose means innocence, purity, secrecy, friendship, reverence and humility.
My favorite is White Rose it symbolizes innocence, purity, secrecy, friendship, reverence and humility. Roses are ancient symbols of love and beauty. The rose was sacred to a number of goddesses (including Isis and Aphrodite), and is often used as a symbol of the Virgin Mary.

My favorite annual is ORTHO SIPHON...it's common name in the south is Cat's Whiskers. It is a plant the butterflies love, and the flower is a small white butterfly shaped flower...multiple flowers on a stem... However, I am having a real difficult time finding it here in the North.... As to perennials...I don't think you can beat columbine...they come in all varieties and colors from pale yellow to deepest purple My favorite one is bush clematis. Very pretty and pretty hardy...comes in a variety of colors and blooms for a long period of time...

I used to work in a flower shop part time. I always loved roses until I worked there, then this whole new world opened up for me with flowers I never knew existed *L*. I LOVE Stargazer Lilies and Gerber Daisies. Stargazers are the lilies that have the pink streak down the middle of the leaf and are predominately white. Gerbers are all different colors. They look like a large version of a normal daisy, but come in many colors (red, orange, green, yellow, etc.).

It must have been a passionate job for you to work in a flower shop. I mean, think of the inspirations the flowers give you each day. I am sure, each day, you'd get a different feeling seeing the different varieties of flowers. What a refreshing time you must have had, daily.

Your response is very unique. Most of the others thought of the natural flowers. But you came up with cotton as a flower. That's very interesting. I never had considered cotton as a flower. Now I appreciate all my cotton material shirts. Good post by you.

Jasmine flower is not only aromatic but is used for herbs as well. Many people used dried jasmine flowers for potpourri. It gives a lovely fragrance even though it has been dried. Lovely flower is the jasmine.
