Who is more deserving beatle icon, Lennon or McCartney

I would go by Lennon.... McCartney in my opinion is what he is now, because and thanks to the beatles.

Definitely Lennon; Don't judge by what McCartney is making since the Beatles were gone, that really has nothing to do with the music they used to make. McCartney's music would never be even as half as popular as it is if he wasn't "the Beatle"!!!

If I had to vote, I would say it is Paul. Not because he has lived longer, but because he had a great body of work that he has done all on his own, as well as his collaboration with John. I think they made great music together, but I think the more well-received songs were written by Paul.
