How do you show your gratitude to someone?

Gratefulness should be a natural part of our daily life. It is not easy for many to show gratitude but it will make the world a better place to be in, if we do so. Henry Ward Beecher quoted this : A proud man is seldom a grateful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves. How do you show your gratitude to someone. Do you buy them gifts, dinners, etc, etc? This may seem simple, but let's give it some serious thoughts. Is there anyone in particular that you want to show gratitude today?

You are right. It is so easy to say thank you and many of us simply forgot that phrase. I hope you and me can help remind those near us to do so. This simple little step will move society a long way in courtesy.

thank you is more than enough. i wonder why to some, it's so hard to even speak out these two words when it's so simple to say them. you are right, there really are lots of proud men out in this world who thinks they are always superior to others.

What a way to show gratitude. It is touching indeed to know how both of you seal your passion and love for each other. Yes, everyday is God's gift and let us in turn give gifts of God through gratitude to others. Make the world a better place because we are grateful people.

to people i don't really know of like waiters, cashiers and saleclerks, etc, i never forget to say thank you to them everytime they have offered their services to me. to people i know, i usually give them cards on occasions to make them feel they are thought of every now and then.

A simple thank you will go a long way. We may not realise it but God knows best. Perhaps, our little thank you to a person like you mentioned, waiters, saleclerks, etc, may be a spirit lifter. That person may be going through a tough time and a word of thank you is a great inspiration and encouragement.

Good for you. A smile is very infectious. Especially when it is given from the bottom of our heart. Often, when we smile at someone, they'd return theirs too.

I always say thank you, then I think of some way to surprise them when I see them again. Like a bookmark they may like, a book they've wanted, treat them to lunch, etc ot just a card to thank them for their friendship!
