Why are we so judgemental?

It seems to me that everyone (myself included) is extremely judgemental and oft times ignorant. People rant about things which they know nothing about, or get upset when an opinion is offered because they failed to give all the information. We all come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives, so why do we automatically assume the other person is wrong? And why can people not except responsibility? A woman is mad because her husband has to pay child support, she thinks the mother of his child should get a job and not ask for money, what is she gonna do when he does the same thing to her? Military Recruiters shouldn't be allowed in schools because they might show kids that there are other options if they aren't cut out for college?!?!? They are influencing kids to go to war? Pluheze!! It's not like they walk in there and say, "Hey, you know what would be fun? Going to Iraq for spring break!" Following that train of thought, it is wrong to be patriotic and proud to be an American too. Just because someone is proud of where they come from doesn't mean they hate the whole rest of the world. Why can't we all just get along? Education goes a long way folks. Find out a little bit more before you pass judgement.

I donm't think any one really cares, or tries to check themselves. I think that is really sad and that it just feeds the ignorance.

I think if we took the time to check ourself and be aware of when we are being judgemental, we would all get along a lot better.
