I was visiting a friend the other day, and she was munching on something and when I asked her wht it was she said raw beetroot,:( well I had a try of it and it really is quite nice, so I have found now when I feel like a little nibble of something I reach for the raw beetroot and baby carrots, hey this is got to be better than reaching for the chocolate, my friend said beetroot is so good for your liver, so have a little try of raw beetroot, cut off the skin, you don't want that and just see it really is quite nice....

I saw some beetroots in cans when I was working as a steward on a vessel, I haven't tasted it though. We serve this to all officials, mostly british, australians, filipinos and some indians. I just didn't notice which country eats them most, but I think australians like you and brits are more familiar with this kind of food!;)
