Jesus turned against the Hebrews which were the people choosen by God. Same difference. Jesus did not like parts of the old testament... which did represent his father. So he went about to form a new religion called "Christianity". Was it simply a case of teenage rebellion?

It's not true that Jesus turned against the Hebrews which is a nation chosen by God. I'm curious where did you get the idea. It is not true that Jesus did not like parts of the Old Testament. What made you say so? It is not true that because of the reasons you cited that He form a new religion. No offense but this really makes me smile. And it can never be a case of teenage rebellion. Now my smile is turning into laughter. Cheers!

Well... this is what I have read in the history books. Jesus did not like certain parts of the old testament and decided to break away from Judaism to form Christianity.

I have done a great deal of readingsf both of sacred and profane history and missed this one. Even then, I do not discount the possibility that others may have written something like this but surely their basis are extra biblical sources. There is nothing in the Bible that supports such idea. There are even books that says Jesus went to India to study ancient religions and Paul preached in India to establish the oldest church there. We have heard and came to know about Jesus and His ministry only from the Bible and internal evidences are the only ones acceptable and reliable. Extra biblical sources that contradict with what the Bible says are questionable. Cheers. Thought provoking posting. That's a good one. I'll follow this thread.

You have it wrong, Jesus and God were one and Jesus fulfilled God's will and the prophecies of the Old Testament. Not sure where you read all that.

Rubbish. Christianity was a by product of a group that were trying to reform the Jewish church to make it more open. It only became a seperate religion with the teachings of paul hence the phrase "Pauline Christianity" Teenage rebelion? The man was in his thirties when his ministry took place.
