my bird laughing at cats

My cats of course want to eat my bird, but now instead of my bird hiding from them he is starting to torment them. It is so funny! He's going in circles, staying close to the bars that protect him then he jumps down to the bottom of the cage and hops up and down moving side to side laughing. Do you have a bird with cats? Isn't it funny to see them interact?

We just recently got parkeets again after about 10 years without them. We have 2 cats and they will sit on the back of the chair and just stare at the birds and swing their tail back and forth. They do this for hours at a time. the birds just keep on singing. They will eat and throw seed hauls on the cat. LOL Very entertaining.

I don't have a bird with my cats; but, I do have a mouse. He acts the same way. He knows the cats can't reach him and he will tease and torment them. One of these days, I think he is going to lose his tail. He like to get up on a wooden barrel next to the bars and he lets his tail hang out of the cage; I think it is on purpose. When the cats grab for the tail; he pulls it in real fast; but, I think one of these days he is going to misjudge his timing.

You mean you have a mouse on purpose. I'm sorry I reread the mouse part 2 times to make sure that's what i read! UGH! Sorry, I'm a mouse killer not a mouse lover. You are a very brave person. Last time I had a mouse in my house I ended up in premature labor and had to get a shot to stop my labor, it stressed me out that bad. I cry, panic, have chest pains you name it. I cannot handle mice at all! Did you ever think of switching to a bird?

I should turn on vide camera when we are gone to see what the little ones do when we are not home. I tell you it may not have been taped but that will always stick in my mind as the funniest moment yet from my feathered friend.

My bird likes to yell at the dog all the time. When the dog barks she says "shut up" or "stop that, go lay down" She love to shake her big rings at my chihuhua so he will bark at her. She also feeds him pieces of food through the cage bars..lol When she is out of the cage and on her playstand, she shakes her tail feathers at the do so he will jump and bark. Birds can be pretty funny...lol

Sounds like you have Tweety, and sylvester the cat. Animals are so cool to watch, you wonder if they are thinking the same thing or not. Thanks for the Post.

Your about right, but our bird is named after a famous clown "Emmit" and one of our cats is just like the famous one "garfield" putting both of them together is a never ending funfest!
