The Amazing Race Asia is now finished. Did you enjoy it? At first, I was really excited for the show becuase it's the first amazing race in Asia. But I was a little dissapointed, because comparing it with the 10 other seasons of Amazing Race, the detours and road block are less challenging and less creative than the other Amazing Race. Even the finale, there's not much excitement. Coz like the other shows, before the final stop, there's another challenge for the team. But for the finale of the Amazing Race Asia, after the last challenge they just need to head to the final pitstop and they're declared as winners after that. Am I just expecting too much from the Amazing Race Asia or there are others out there who share the same view as I am? Please share.

hi! i'm also a fan of the amazing race but just like you i was also disappointed on the amazing race asia. the tasks were really not so challenging and i find it boring. i also felt bad/sad when the couple from the philippines were eliminated because i thought they're a great team. i don't like the other team (the two women), because all they do is flaunt their bodies and put make up on even during the contest. i also don't like the host because i felt like he's trying hard to be like phil.

Well truthfully, since I am from Malaysia, I can help but be proud that a Malaysian Team won it. Not to mention that it was the first time that an all female team has won any edition of Amazing Race which goes back as far as 10 seasons. The fact that another Malaysian team finish as second runners up made it even more sweeter. Not too take anything away from the winners and participants, sometimes I feel that TV viewers, there's only so much that we can see within an hour or two. Therefore although , there might be views that there was not enough excitement or challenge , I'm sure the contestants, and production crew involved were pretty much drained out at the end of the race. To produce such a show was surely not an overnight success but probably took months of painstaking and laborous planning, execution and attention to details. The logistic involved must have been overwhelming, so I therefore have not much complain of the overall quality of the show. Once again Congratulations to Zabrina and Joe Jer and good job to everyone involved in Amazing Race Asia.

You have a point there. And I know that the crew and the whole team involve for the production of the Asia version is different from the crew of the original Amazing Race, so it's the first time really to come up with such a show. Congrats to you and for the Malaysian team (Zabrina & Joe Jer) who won the race.

We have the expectations and same disappointments on this show. I was even shocked when I saw the husband/wife tandem of our local teams, they accidentally plowed a parked car on the street and scratching it's car paint. Plus those two starlets who just hugged the camers and did nothing but to display their bodies!:( Even the host, Allan Wu, I think is trying hard on delivering his words in his hosting. After seeing this, I decided to stop watching this disastrous race. It really is flop here, too much expectations with less preparations.

I agree with you. I also don't like the host. He's not as effective as Phil from the oroginal AR.

Well, I might have a different opinion. I think AXN is good enogh in the making of tARA. You can't just compare tAR (the Amazing Race) and tARA (the Amazing Race Asia), because it's so different. Beside, this is the first time AXN made a reality race show like this. Well, I bet it will be even worst if we're the one who handled to find the games spots. I'm sure if there will be tARA 2, there will be a lot of progress.
