Lately, I've been given a transfer from work. This means having slightly uncomfortable situations at work which includes having only one toilet at our new premises, due to other construction works. Would you use the toilet if most of your colleagues are men and spend quite some time coming and going to the toilet, which they never keep clean. Meanwhile I understand my boss' situation at the new premises and do not wish to confront him about it. What would you do?

It is a very uncomfortable situation. Personally I don't like to use the toilet after men. They tend to mess the toilet up and it is not just in public toilets. It's their nature. What I would do having no other choice would be, use the toilet without actually sitting on it. Keep your personal tissues handy and if at all possible try to tell your boss to get someone clean it daily or often. He should keep in mind that as females use the same toilet as well, he should provide for it's frequent cleaning. As a matter of fact you don't have to tell him.

I am very funny about that. I would bring a spray of sanitizor and some rags to work with me. Then when I would need to use it I would bring my spray and a rag with me and wipe it down really good. I also would purchase some paper seat covers to lay on the seat when I sit down after santitizing it. It would do no good to say anything to your boss. Unless he is a boss that has empathy for people. His comment would probably run along the line that you are working with guys that is to be expected. Men are like that. Think about this. You probably get razed if you brought the spray can but after awhile it just might make them think. Stranger things have happened.
