Increase in Salaries

Today, I was receiving our new salaries for the 2007. Every year, We have an increase in Salaries. This year, I am really dissappointed to the salaries that the company has given to us (especially me), I am a hardworker and I really concentrate to my job here in the company. However, I am really not understand on why the company couldnt see my seriousness in the job accordingly. It is really hurts me that, I see that some people are working not so seriously during the previous year, but they get the same increase in this year. I am really disturbed to this. Please advise me whether I have to do something to sell my hardworks to get the salaries I wanted. Please advise your idea

Hi, I can understand your situation because even i had gone through this. It happens in every industry but sad that you also became the victim. What i suggest is just checkout whether your contributions are noticed or not. It always so happens that 'DOES YOUR BOSS LIKE YOU' Yes this is the fact. If its the case then just start checking for some other job and leave the company. One reason is you have to wait for 1 more year to get your increased salary and not sure what will happen then. Now if you change then you can ask for some more salary. I am not sure in which sector you are working but i did the same and got a good salary in my new compay. Wish you all the best.
