'DOGS hate CATS,CATS hate MICE' how true is this statemant?

the famous cartoon series 'TOM and JERRY' made every one belief that the above statement is true.how much reality is there?how often have seen a cat and dog fight.this was a business trick which became so successful that people believe its true!!!!!

I think that is the general idea about them. But there are dogs that are friendly with cats and vice-versa (like my pets). Also, there are cats that are scared of mice (like mine again LOL). I think cats just are curious animals that chases everything that moves quickly. =)
