Does anyone else wish that someone would invest a teleporting machine?

I find it so difficult being far away from my family and friends. Sometimes I wish I could have a teleporting machine so that I could instantly be with them instead of having to travel so far to see them. What would you like to use a teleporter for?

Teleport means transport by dematerializing at one point and assembling at another.

Don't think I'd walk very much at all LOL. Could pop the kids in the teleporter straight to the classroom. Would need to have plenty of room in there for the weekly shop! Hmmmmm....do you think you could get some kind of attachable trailer type thing, so when you get them larger purchases like beds n sofas, you could save on the delivery cost? LOL! What a cool idea......Shame its not been invented yet!

I hadn't thought about the implications of making us all much more lazy, but then I guess cars already do. Great idea to use it to save on delivery costs. Maybe it should be like a tardis inside so you can move as many people or items as you want. After all inventing a tardis should be easy compared to a teleporter!

I do. The only place I've ever received a truly great haircut was in Japan. For some reason my husband refuses to buy me a plane ticket to go get my hair cut! *scoff*. So I would get monthly haircuts and visit the friends I left behind.

Hmmmmm...I would like to use teporter for meeting my grand parents. Yes I love them & miss them as they live really far from my place, so I would go to their place with my parents & brother using teleporting machines.

If I could teleport, I'd be all over the place traveling. I used to commute every day about 100 miles round trip while I was getting my degree. Sometimes I would be on campuse from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., away from my family, my home, my comfort zone. I used to walk out of those 9 p.m. classes and say, "I wish I could just get in my car and push a button that made me teleport home instantly."

What a great idea I have never heard of a teleporter before unless you are using a different term to what we would call it here where I live but this sounds like a super idea and the I would be able to visit my family interstate, as it is pretty long way to see one of my sisters.

Yes! This would be a wonderful invention! This coming from a mom who just spent her whole weekend on the wonderful California freeways. It would have been so much nicer to transport myself to my son's wrestling match instead of driving the 1 1/2 hours to get there and then back home again. Only to turn around and drive to my nephew's home the next day which is 1 hour away and after watching the Super Bowl, I turned around and drove back home. I am so tired of driving! My family all live no closer than an hour away which sucks. I'd also be able to visit far off places that I would love to see but never will. No more automobiles and the smog they cause either - that would be a huge benefit! Great question... so can we expect you to invent it soon? :)

Scientists have been able to teleport a piece of an amino acid chain between teleporting devices, they were each in a vaccuum. People sized teleportation would require insane quantum computers and advanced nanotechnology that we are 40-75 years away from developing. We will develop cold fusion before then.
