Rare animals are killed for their furs or their horns.

Most rare animals that are hunted are done so in private animal parks. There are already laws in place to protect the animals but the hunters do it anyway. As far as I can see there isn't much else that can be done to stop the illegal hunting and fur trade. It's not very likely that any country is going to forbid the sale of fur all together.
