welll nowa days a lot of people could say they would die for you and all, but they would only be a few who would actually do it to get you...
as it shows they are the true lovers and would do anything to love you , but they too should be people who dont actually do it for anything and everything , then they are people who r not that stable in behavior...
well wen ur in lov n you know ur lov completely then you shud be able to judge.
as in my case my hubby too was one who said it to me n even wen things seemed tat hed loose me he even did stuff that scared me n i realized his lov n i returned it n he has never repeated it till now again...

well i thought only mentally unstable people would do that....but after hearing from you(that you are husband and wife actually now)...im in dilemma now.

i would not completly accept that b'cos if he/she loves u and in turn u dont love them, then they say they can die for u only b'cos they want you to be happy and would give away their life for u which a very great thing. but if he really love u then he can make things that can raise feeling for him in u which i possible if u already like some else then he/she is tellin the truth that they are ready to give their life for u

It is not that you should be ready to die for your love. This is pessimistic approach and now a days a lot of people try this to impress the other one which cannot be termed as a deciding factor of love.

You mentioned the word "can" in your sentence so that means it's just a possibility and not a certainty.
When I was fighting in Russia and in Iraq I told the troops I was with that I will give up my life for them.
When you give up your life for someone that means you're offering them a tomorrow.

You really are proving your knack in starting really unheard topics, but it is fun, it is really hard to somehow fill in a 4 line response. I would not die for my love, because I would want to live with her. But if the situation really demands that I might well do it, it depends.
