Why adopt a grown woman at that age unless she is physically challenged. If you just love this woman then leave her some thing in your will. people normally adopt because a kid has no other family to take care of them.

well diamond she's not physically challenged but she went through so much in life and she's so alone that only a family of her own can help her come back - just a thought - maybe i could do something. thx anyway - all your thoughts are welcome.

well here in the us i dont think there are really any leagl things you have to do most of us in that situation just consider that person family , the only legal thing thats really involved is if you want to put this person in your will or on life ins policies , and its not a big deal after all you are the person amking the will and the owner of the life ins policy so you can leave what ya want to whoever you want , if its somithing like changing a name then thats not a big deal either here in the staes anyone can go down and have their name changed ;) but i dont see how you can "legally" adopt somone over the age of 18 maybe we can get sopme laywers to post on here about this , and hey if your looking for another daughter ;) ya can adopt me plus you will get a good son n law and 4 grandkids to boot ;) ~M~ actually this sort of thing is done alot since many ppl dont have close realtion ships with their families, like me i have more friends that are closer to me than my own parents i actually havent talked to my mom in about 3 yrs and when she did finally send somithing for my kids at christmas she didnt even acknowledge me or my husband but just the kids , i dont know if that was spossed to make us mad but lemme tell you it sure made an inpression on my kids, so if she was trying to show how much she "loved" them thats not the message that came across they were really wondering why she didnt even say merry christmas or even hello to us in her card , one thing i can say about family tiffs , is that dont ever think kids wont see you or the family for what they really are cause they are not stupid and i think teh prob with my kids ( well i dont see it as a prob but others would ) is that like me my kids WILL call you out on it
