Is anyone else here ( on mylot in general or in a specific topic) finding themselves annoyed by the lack of serious discussions, or rather by the over-abundence of stupid ones? I would like to use the horses section as a place to talk about training techniques, different disciplines, hints on improving riding, etc. but it seems like over 2/3 of the questions are like "are horses smart" "are horses your favorite animal" "do you like hores"
Well presumably you wouldn't be in the horses section if you didn't like horses!
I just get sick of reading the stupid mindless questions. How do you feel?

I always past discussion that i don't like, but i do understand some of them have their language problem. Their mother tongue it's not english but they try to learn and their post turn out to kinda like; "What your favorite color?" or "Do you know Indonesia?"
I am trying to make my english perfect each time I post and as serious as posible
. And i also open online dictionary for that.I hope the other do the same

I'm a relative newbie here, but I hope there are some good discussions about horses.
I'm a member on 2 horse forums. One is quite friendly, but limited. The other is much larger but boy can they be snarky!
I don't compete, but enjoy a thoughtful discussion about many riding disciplines and other things such as tack.
Oh, and I ride a blind Percheron mare.

I have come across some good, serious horse questions. One of the recent ones I responded to was about hay prices. Another one was about when to wean a foal. You're right about what the majority of the questions consist of.

I read your discussion and started to say at first that there is no such thing as a stupid discussion. That what might seem stupid to you isn't stupid to the person who put it up for discussion. After reading and pondering on your discussion here I am inclined to agree with you. There are some things that are a given. Like you wouldn't come to this particular area if you did not like horses. So I am agreeing with you based on what you brought up as your reason for getting irritated with stupid discussions.
