What do you feel about Euthanasia?

Hello, Picture in your mind this situation. A lady who we will call Clara is terminally sick and she calls to the doctor from her hospital bed, "Don't keep me going like a vegetable." Clara is one of the many people today who are being kept alive by modern technologies. Rather then continue they prefer a peaceful death. Doctors and judges and the patients family, find it hard to abide by the desire of euthanasia when their loved one is suffering a devastating sickness that depletes their bodies and in many cases their minds, and quality of life. My question is, do you feel personally that euthanasia is right, and does a person have the right to choose to die? Does the doctors or anyone else have the right to practice euthanasia on another person because they are going to die and they are suffering and want to die? What would keep doctors and others from killing healthy people or patients who enter a hospital? A curious mind would like your opinion. Why? Because as a minister, I face people all the time and want to see how others feel about euthanasia. Thanks, Judona2006

an individual does not have a right when he/she gets birth so accordingly he cannot have a right to die too .... *** also many many religious factors also come into play. .. Thanks Sid

Hi Cool, I definitely agree with that 100%. Society excepts euthanasia and mercy killing because it take the responsibility of those who would care for the ailing person. take care, Jadona2006
